I would say put it low on your hip on the front. Not on your back, those are pretty bad. They should be significant in some way so pick your favorite flower or shape that reminds you of your daughter (i’m assuming its a girl since you said you wanted it feminine). I have a shooting star on the top outside of my foot thats really cool, i would put their initials in it too to make it more meaningful.

Lower back tattoos don’t make you look like a whore and no, you don’t have to cut off your skin to have it removed. Laser removal is very painful, but usually very effective. You can remove a tattoo by cutting it out, but that’s generally a stupid thing to do and I highly recommend against it. The only reasons for removing a tattoo are regret or the tattoo being done badly. You will not regret a tattoo dedicated to your child as long as you find a reputable artist with a consistently good portfolio.

A popular tattoo for people with kids is getting the baby’s hand or footprint tattooed. You could do that and add your baby’s name or date of birth.

You could do something with your baby’s zodiac sign, birth month flower or birthstone. Maybe a collage or mosaic of some sort with your baby’s name.

Edit: Or you could go bold and get a portrait tattoo of your baby. In that case, you’ll need to find an artist who specializes in portraits.

Edit: If you’re into stars, I just thought of possibly tattooing the constellation of your baby’s zodiac sign.

You could stylize these, of course, or your artist could help you feminize them. You could even incorporate the birth flower or zodiac sign into it.
